IGAD Regional Secretariat on Forced Displacement and Mixed Migration (IGAD RS) has scheduled to hold the Sixth RPSC meeting in the second week of July 2020. The meeting will be delivered virtually due to the existing challenges as a result of the raging COVID-19 pandemic. Invitation to the meeting will be issued soon.

The RPSC will focus on the current status of the DRDIP Project including updates on the progress attained during the first half of 2020. IGAD RS will take delegates through the Regional COVID- 19 Response, efforts thereon and the way forward. DRDIP PIU Coordinators will introduce the overall progress made so far and major challenges encountered during Project implementation and solutions proffered. Plenary discussions will allow delegates to provide feedback and inputs on some of the adjustments that can be applied to the Project without losing the current momentum. IGAD Secretariat will also present the revised Annual Work Plan 2020-2021. delegates from the Word Bank will give an overview for the remaining period of year 2020 and the World Bank team also will update and provide general overview and possible response in line of the Bank’s efforts to assist project Countries to cope and respond to the effects of the pandemic including loss of livelihoods, economic uncertainties and likelihood of the virus spread in forced displaced settings.
